Jeannette Angel is an IGS PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at UBCO. Her research focuses on using creative methods for community engagement in water sustainability. She is a Research Assistant and Project Manager for Future Delta, a climate change videogame collaboration by the Centre for Culture and Technology and the Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning at UBC Vancouver.
She has an extensive background in dance performance and embodied teaching and learning. Most recently, Angel has created experiential eco-art workshops and collaborated on interactive gallery exhibitions that interrogate how sustainability meanings are constructed and the ways in which sustainability metaphors are deployed in the public realm. This work highlights the role of the arts in sustainability practice and theory with the hope that artistic inquiry can create enhanced spaces for experience and imagination.
